June HappeningsVice President Mencucci read a letter to the BHP&S from the RI Department of Environmental Management to members. The DEM would like to purchase an approximate 8 acre landlocked parcel owned by the BHP&S to become part of the Black Hut Management Area. A motion was put before attending members and passed allowing the land to be sold to DEM. The Town Highway Department is in the process of replacing sidewalks and reconfiguring the Laurel Hill Road, Laurel Ridge Road and Church Street intersection. They are also kindly replacing the two front walks to the BHP&S building. Our summer potluck supper was this month. Good food and socializing are guaranteed!
