March 2002 Happenings

Our treasurer, Ronald Lapierre's National Guard unit has been called to service. He will be away 6 months to a year. We would like to thank him for loyal service. He will be in our thoughts and prayers until his safe return.

On April 3rd the BH&PS will be used by the Rhode Island Committee for the Humanities from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

The 2002 nominating committee of Claire Cunningham and Geoge Zifchock nominated:
    Secretary:            Rose Shaw
    Treasurer:            Ronald Lapierre
    Vice President:    Denice Mitchell
    President:            Betty Mencucci

The nominations were accepted by the membership present.

A slide show was presented after the meeting. It was the second batch of glass negatives from the Briggs Collection (1915 - 1917).
