October Happenings

The BH&PS has received a bell for the building's bell tower. Thanks to the generous donation of Mr. John Drury. This bell was the original Mapleville School bell, a sister building to the Bridgeton School. Repairs to the bell tower are in need before the bell can be proudly installed.

Guest speakers were "the Gravestone Girls," Maggie White and Brenda Sullivan - fitting for the month of October! They do historic documentation and mortuary art. Their specialty is making decorative pieces of art for home and garden use by using images taken directly from original New England gravestones. Check out their website: www.gravestonegirls.com

Remember, November and December meetings will be combined due to the holidays. There will be a "potluck supper" on December 4th at 6:00 pm to celebrate. Make your favorite dish and join us. Bring a $1.00 - $2.00 gift to exchange, too.
