February 2002 Happenings
James Burrill, Jr. was inducted into the Heritage Hall of Fame in 2000.
The Placque awarded to Burrillville will be displayed at the BH&PS.
George Zifchock has donated a 1899 book titled, "The Silver Song Series"
in which Princess Redwing has handwritten the music and verse for "Narragansett
Song of Greeting." George also donated a program (printed by his
father) for a band concert in Saugatucket Park on August 13, 1938.
Claire Cunningham and George Zifchock have volunteered to be the 2002
nominating commitee. New Officers will be nominated and elected in
March.
